Meet Bill Franklin
Bill Franklin is the Founder and CEO of Bill Franklin Ministries and serves as the Bible teacher and counselor for the Counseling ministry. He is a Gwinnett County resident of 11 years. Bill has four children: Dawn, Kristine, Heidi and Robert.
His education experience and training include an M.A. in Biblical Counseling; a B.A. in Biblical Literature, PhD pending in “Biblical Counseling.
Bill has 40 years of counseling experience in areas of divorce, re-marriage, suicide, depression, anxiety, crisis counseling, murder, personal finances and many other difficulties which plague human beings. Bill's professional abilities include:
- the ability to translate Biblical norms into contemporary context and to have empathy for the whole person: culturally, emotionally and physically.
- the ability to work with various religious backgrounds, marital problems, complexities of persons having second marriages after becoming a Christian and parenting skills
- the ability to identify alcohol/drug related problems and recognize the source.
- The ability and experience in working with homosexuality (both men and women) and other sexual problems.
- the ability to analyze the impact of background and culture of individuals.
- the ability to work in conjunction with professionals and specialists.
- the ability to provide group and personal counseling on the following subjects: family dynamics, specific roles of men and women, communication in marriage, Christian education, finances, rearing children, human sexuality, and responsibility within marriage.
Bill worked as Minister to Men and Family Counselor at First Baptist Church of Snellville, Georgia While there he developed a Men's ministry and formed small groups. Subsequently, Bill has been the guest speaker in various forums and conducted men's retreats throughout the Southeast. Bill conducts counseling for family issues, teens, and deals extensively with addictions. |
